I never thought I would be able to take my own newborn’s photos! With my first child I ended up having an unplanned c-section after many hours in labor and then having gallbladder attacks days after he was born, so I never got to shoot my own newborn photos of him!  This little one was a totally different story! I hired a good friend to come to the hospital and do photos of us there and then in our home when she was a few days old but I never dreamed I would be able to take photos of her less than a week after having a c-section with her! She slept so good and was the shortest newborn session I have ever done! I loved being able to do her newborn photos outdoors and use some of the same props that were used for her big brothers newborn session almost two years ago! Here are just a few of my favorites!
